Foothills Art Center presents the 6th annual Glitter in the Garden Gala

Aug. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- GOLDEN, CO, August 17, 2010—The 6th annual Glitter in the Garden Gala draws VIPs and supporters to Foothills Art Center to enjoy an evening of exceptional food, entertainment, a silent auction, raffle and specialty martini bar to raise funds for 2011 exhibition and education programming.

To take place amidst the main gallery’s Rocky Mountain National Watermedia exhibition, as well as throughout the outdoor sculpture garden, this year’s gala will highlight beloved FAC supporter F.A. “Heinie” Foss as the evening’s honoree. A member of the chartering Board of Directors, Foss was instrumental in supporting the original downtown watercolor art shows that provided the platform to establish Foothills Art Center in 1968. The evening will pay tribute to his great contribution to FAC’s long and successful history.

This year’s theme, A Mid-September’s Night Dream, will feature a green-colored dress attire and delectable food graciously donated by The Golden Hotel, Biscuits and Berries, Grappa Mediterranean Bistro, Table Mountain Inn and Three Tomatoes Catering. Specialized entertainment featuring Miners Alley Playhouse actors in Shakespearian costume and the Colorado Chamber Players will perform throughout the evening, and a silent auction with dozens of incredible purchases and a raffle with $1,000 first prize will be available.

Housed in two buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, FAC is known for showcasing diverse exhibitions in a unique setting.
