iSLI hosts the PIC Controller Awareness seminar facilitated by EDTC Technology Gateway

Aug. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- The Institute for System Level Integration is set to host a two-day PIC Microcontroller Awareness seminar in conjunction with EDTC Technology Gateway on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th August 2010, to provide attendees with a fuller understanding of the technical information and advice in relation to their product ideas and product developments.  

Day one will provide an introduction [using a development system the participant will take away with them] to PIC Microcontrollers, Microcontroller Architecture, Microcontroller Instruction Set, Assembly Language (including examples of control instructions and data manipulation) and an introduction to the PIC development platform; incorporating input and output ports, 32 button switches, 32 LED indicators, and 4 digit,seven segment display. Each delegate will participate in hands-on exercises on using the development platform provided. No previous experience is necessary.

Day two of the seminar will then focus attention on the development tool's Analogue-to-Digital (ADC) control, timer control and interrupt control. This will also inlcude examples and exercises for BASIC Language programming and C Language programming.

This 2-day awareness seminar is facilitated by EDTC Technology Gateway and costs £200 + VAT per person, which includes a FREE development tool for Microchip PIC Microcontrollers (valued at £125), which delegates can take away with them after the seminar.  The fee also includes all refreshments and handouts.

Attendees will benefit from a technology mentoring service which delivers support to anyone involved in the design and development of new innovative products and or the evolution of existing products.
