Aug. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES — What if you woke up one day at summer camp to discover all the adults had disappeared? That is how the kidsʼ adventure series, eScape, began two weeks ago.

Created by Mike Feurstein of New York-based MovieQuest Productions and co-produced by Runic Films, eScape tells the story of a group of campers seemingly abandoned by their counselors. They soon discover they are trapped within a video game that grants them amazing abilities. But in the real world, this game is the object of a power struggle between powerful corporations and mysterious military interests.

The first season of eScape premiered August 6th on its Web site, http://www.eScapeTheSeries.com along with a red-carpet live broadcast with the cast. “Jooker,” and “Aggro,” the first two episodes of the show, are available on the site now, with a new installment available each Friday.

“Reaction has been great so far. Parents and kids are loving the first two episodes,” said executive producer Mike Feurstein.  “They can’t wait until Friday for more.”

Said Runic Films producer Ben Alpi, “I’m really looking forward to hearing more about what folks think about the story as the season unfolds.” The first season is six episodes in all with a double length season finale.

eScape began as a educational project for former student’s of Feurstein’s as well as an opportunity for him to work with his professional actor colleagues.  He endeavored to create a learning set where the grade-school level students could learn about the many roles behind-the-scenes as well as on camera. Now brought to the Web, the series is one of the few appropriate for the whole family currently available online.

Feurstein added, “I'm glad we could create online content that parents can feel safe letting their kids watch.  When I was young I had lots of shows I was excited to watch week after week.  I want kids to be able to run home after school and watch eScape.”
