Update: State of Utah Documents Refute Fraudulent ClaimsMineral Resources International, Inc. announces additional developments regarding recent actions by the State of Utah in countering a fraudulent, libelous press release involving MRI and its products.
By: Karie Anderson “MRI would like to extend its appreciation and gratitude to Thomas C. Anderson, Jeffrey S. Einfeldt of the Utah Bar Association, and William C. Loos, Assistant Attorney General for the State of Utah, in refuting malicious and libelous notices that appeared in newspapers in India and were circulated throughout China as well,” stated Bruce Anderson, President/CEO of MRI, Inc. “We appreciate their involvement and assistance in exposing this fraudulent press release for what it is—a desperate attempt by unethical competitors of MRI to destroy the reputation of MRI.” Affidavits that have been provided by Utah State officials include the following: · Jeffrey S. Einfeldt, CFO and Director of Licensing at the Utah State Bar Association, provided an affidavit verifying that all attorneys, including those with only a limited House Counsel license, are required to register with the Utah Bar Association, and that there is only one “Tom Anderson,” namely, Thomas C. Anderson—an attorney in the Education Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office—who is licensed as an attorney with the Utah State Bar. · Thomas C. Anderson, an attorney in the Education Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office, provided an affidavit affirming that he did not draft nor did he have any involvement whatsoever with the publication of a public notice or press release claiming to be written by a “Tom Anderson, Corporate Lawyer, Utah, USA.” · William C. Loos, Assistant Attorney General for the State of Utah, provided an affidavit verifying the following: (1) based on a personal conversation with Thomas C. Anderson, the claim that the purported “public notice” was drafted by “Tom Anderson” is not true; (2) the “public notice” does not constitute an official notice from the State of Utah; (3) the “public notice” was not prepared by someone who had proper authority from the State of Utah to issue such a notice; and (4) the claim that such ”public notice” or ”press release” is an ”official notice from the State of Utah” is not true.” MRI will post the three affidavits on its web site.
