Avatar The Last Airbender

Aug. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- The Emmy award winner Avatar the Last Airbender that airs on the American Television is showcased on Nickelodeon, on the children’s program corner. The television serial was created by Bryan Konietzko and produced by Michael Dante.  As you would have noticed from the series itself, there is a lot of Asian influence to it, where Chinese Martial Art plays a centrifugal force, although it is in its elementary stages. In fact, it is a perfect blend of US cartoons and Asian animation styles that are loved by kids of all ages. This is a series of Aang the protagonist and his friends. Every series is an adventure where Aang and his friends are trying to save the world from destruction and their main enemy the Evil Fire and Fire Nation.

The first episode of the long lasting series begun in February 21st 2005. However, the show gained immense popularity and now can be bought in sources like DVD’s Blue Ray, iTunes Store, the PlayStation Store, Nicktoons Networks and lots of more. Avatar the Last Airbender grew to such leaps and bounds with the audience that it also gathered a sizeable number of critics. The number of people who dedicatedly watched the serious shot to over 5.6 million, earning itself the best rated show that ever was lined up on the Nicktoon. Originally, the series was created for the age group 6-11. However, as the popularity of the series progressed, the demographics increased as well. Kids of all ages loved to watch the series and wanted more of it.

The series has pocketed several awards like the Annual Annie Awards, Emmy Awards, Genesis Award, Peabody Award naming just a few. The first series of the show saw immense success, and this was one of the reasons why the channel decided to move on to the next series. The next series that was directed by M. Night Shyamalan titled Avatar The Last Airbender also managed to have action figures, video games, and even card games that were based on the series. The third series saw other items like stuffed animals, and two Lego sets, which were distributed by Paramount Parks.  In Mid 2010, an art-book based on the series was released as well.

The series revolves round the idea that the world is based on four elements like Air, Water, Fire and Earth. Peace on earth has prevailed due to the harmony that exists between all these elements. These elements are also supervised by the Avatar who also links the elements to the spirit world and the only one who has the capacity to master all the four elements. However, when the young Avatar goes missing, Fire Nation begins an attack and plans to destroy everyone who is in Air Nomads, since they are theonly obstruction to world domination. The Fire Lord rules over 100 years and imprisons anyone who has elemental bending abilities of the Water and Earth Kingdoms. In the meantime Katara and Sokka, who are siblings,  found a young boy trapped under the ice. He turns out to be Aang the young Avatar and who is also the last of the Air Nomads. What follows in Avatar the Last Airbender is a series of the tyrannical onslaught where Aang tries to stop Fire Lord from causing destruction.
