By: Natasha Brown Press previews begin on August 4, 2010 and the show makes its official opening on August 25, 2010 at The Actors Temple Theatre, 338 West 47th Street, New York, NY. “All American Girls” is scheduled to run through September 4th, and producers are expecting extensions similar to Gray’s “Black Angels Over Tuskegee” play, which was scheduled to close in December 2010 but is still going strong. “All American Girls” is the story of an all Negro female baseball team in 1945. The players have been brought in from all over the country to play an exhibition baseball game against a White team – an event that promises unprecedented attendance and income for White team owners. When the coach of the team goes missing and a young journalist insists on getting answers, a dark secret is uncovered. “All American Girls” examines racism, deceit and betrayal told with vibrant, colorful characters and shocking discoveries.
