Equity Life Silver Spring MD Offers Free Service to Help the Local Community

July 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Silver Spring, MD - Equity Life.org in partnership with the Emerald Planet Green Jobs Coalition is offering free credit help to the local community to assist those with less than perfect credit.

•In the last 12 months, 15 percent of American adults, or nearly 34 million people, have been late making a credit card payment and 8 percent (18 million people) have missed a payment entirely. (Source: National Foundation for Credit Counseling, 2009 Financial Literacy Survey, April 2009)

•26 percent of Americans, or more than 58 million adults, admit to not paying all of their bills on time. Among African-Americans, this number is at 51 percent.  (Source: National Foundation for Credit Counseling, 2009 Financial Literacy Survey, April 2009)

Equity LIfe.org was formed by Arnold Tiodi and has 2 local offices in Silver Spring and DC.  Equity Life offers credit assistance via personal counseling as well as easy to use online programs.  

Equity Life has joined the Green Jobs Coalition which includes 10 other local for profits and non-profits and is offering free credit assistance to members and clients of the alliance as well as to the public.  The Coaltion Green Jobs program has already successfully graduated the first class of students with a second class underway at the time of this press release.
