Art Karat - Semi Precious Jewellery Collection (Paheli Collection) on display from 4th to 8th August

The collection drives its name from the famous bollywood movie which inspired designer Asha Kamal Modi to recreate a range showcasing the folk jewellery of Rajasthan known especially for the silver ornaments worn by most rural communities. It’s a magical combination of the different types of workmanships that originated there including kundan, meenakari and thewa with a contemporary twist.

This compilation depicts the rich heritage of the princely state and includes a range of traditional Rajasthani ornaments such as Rakhdi (head ornament), Tussi (necklace), Baju Bandh (armlet), Adah (necklace worn by Rajputs), Gokhrus (bracelets) and Pajebs (anklets). More than 800 designs have been created for this collection and the entire range is priced between Rs. 2000 to Rs.75000.

The search for this special collection would end at Art Karat that is all set to unveil its elaborate ‘Paheli Collection’ that would sweep you off your foot with the remarkable craftsmanship that has gone into every design. It is a must see for all jewellery connoisseurs who crave for breathtaking designs. The work is a visual grandeur with gorgeous light beige enamels, a combination of rubies and emeralds complemented with carved gold balls. Ensembles of five line kundan necklace with large intricate pendants, beautiful kundan kada with rubies and white sapphires are the highlights of the collection.
The official unveiling of the Paheli Collection would be done by Mrs. Asha Kamal Modi, a connoisseur in the art of designer jewelry since 1988 and the creator of the “Paheli Collection” on August 04, 2010 which would be followed by a detailed elaboration about the finer points of the unique collection.

The launch would be followed by a jewellery exhibition till the 8th of August from 11 am to 8 pm where the collection would be on display besides other elegant creations from the house of Art Karat.
