Wakefield MA Single-Family Home Sales Decrease Q2 2010

Single-family home sales decreased in the second quarter f 2010 compared to Q2 of 2009 in Wakefield, MA, according to data analyzed by Buyers Brokers Only, LLC.

Sept. 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Single-family home sales and median price dropped in the second quarter 2010 compared to the same period in 2009. Data was compiled by Buyers Brokers Only, LLC, an exclusive buyer agent real estate firm, using MLS Property Information Network Inc., a local multiple listing service.

In the second quarter of 2010 single-family home sales decreased 3.6 percent compared to sales in Q2 of 2009, a difference of only 2 sales. The median price decreased 3.46 percent, a difference of $13,000 from Q2 2009. Over the first six month of 2010 home sales were actually up 14.1 percent compared to the same time period in 2009, while the median price decreased 1.7 percent.

Condominium sales decreased 21.4 percent in Q2 2010 compared to the second quarter of 2009. The median price of condos increased 1.1 percent in the second quarter of this year. Over the first six months of the year similar trends were seen. sales dropped 24 percent compared to the same time period in 2009, while the median price increased 2.9 percent.

Multi-family home sales increased from 2 sales in Q2 of 2009 to 3 sales in Q2 2010. The median price dropped 16.6 percent in the same time period.
