About the Joey Browner Foundation - MIND, BODY AND HEART Mind through Education. Children are this country's most valuable resource. They represent our future. The challenge society demands that young people receive every educational opportunity as they prepare for their future. Body through Physical Movement Demonstrate understanding and respect for differences among people in a physical activity setting. Understand that physical activity provides opportunities for enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and social interaction. Heart through Action and Application A continual process of understanding who one is and using that knowledge to positively influence oneself, others and society through volunteerism. A child who volunteers at nursing home may learn the loneliness that often accompanies old age; a teen helping build a house will understand the obstacles faced by low-income families.
