Apple’s profits up 77% in Q2 2010

July 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Apple has reported today results for its fiscal third quarter ended June 26th. During the quarter, Apple’s profits increased by 77% to $3.25 billion compared to the same period last year. Apple’s revenues were up 61, 4% to $15, 7 billion from 9, 73$ billion in the same quarter last year.

In addition, the MAC represented a new quarterly record with 3.47 million Macs and a 33 percent unit increase over the year-ago quarter. The Company sold 8.4 million iPhones in this quarter, representing 61 percent unit growth over the year-ago quarter. The iPod represented an 8% percent decline this quarter compared to the same period last year.

Concerning the iPad, Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO said that it has terrific start with total sales 3, 27 million. Steve Jobs also said that amazing new products still to come this year.
