Summer Heats Up for WebTV Workshop, Heavy Hitters Slated to Speak on “Pro-Panel” Live Web Series
WebTV Workshop’s Live Streaming Pro-Panel Series to Feature Actor/Comedian, Kevin Pollak, Babelgum Comedy Publisher, Amber J. Lawson and Writer/Producer & VP of Mobile Video at mDialog, Tim Street
The WebTV Workshop’s Pro-Panel has featured topical interviews with top working industry Web TV professionals since launching in April 2010 including Streamy Award winners, writers, producers, publicists, editors and more. With more web series being launched than traditional TV series, WebTV Workshop’s program and live “Pro-Panel”
“Damian and I created a wish list of new media industry candidates for the Pro-Panel and each month we look at the list and pull the best available guest speakers together for our workshop,” said Diahnna Nicole Baxter, Emmy winner and co-founder of WTVW. “We are excited to offer this live series to the community as a way to inspire and support our students and others looking to get into producing their own content.”

• Babelgum.com Comedy Publisher Amber J. Lawson, Lawson runs the international comedy business where she develops, produces, packages, markets, sells, publicizes, and distributes original series production and interactive programming across fixed and mobile. Lawson has been a past EVP of Branded Entertainment, where she strengthened agency relationships working with ATT, Wrigley’s, Unilever, Dice, Doritos, XM radio, Samsung, Chili’s and Nikon. Lawson is also a member of the Interactive Peer Group at the Academy of Television Arts & Science and Producers Guild of America.
• Writer, Producer & VP of Mobile Video at mDialog Tim Street, tops Mashable’s list of Social Media VIPs in Los Angeles, is well-known for creating and Executive Producing the popular viral video series French Maid TV and garnering over 40 million downloads. Street is an award-winning short form director and has produced short and long form TV for Paramount, Universal, Warner Bros., ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The WB, UPN, Fine Living, Food Network, Game Show Network, Nickelodeon, Spike TV and many others. In 2009, Tim was inducted into the International Academy of Web Television. Street is also the co-host of the This Week in Media podcast.
