July 14, 2010 - PRLog -- This is a two day intensive on the fine art of wire wrap jewelry – the 'Thayer Method' by Ann Turpin Thayer. Learn the secrets of creating clean, tailored fine craftsmanship with this master craftsman. Workshop includes her illustrated color guide of each of the workshop patterns. We will be using Argentium™ Sterling Silver and 14K Gold-Filled wire for this 2-day intensive workshop.

Saturday: building a strong foundation, the projects will be a bangle bracelet with Ann’s exclusive hook & eye closure in 3 styles; easy setting of facetted gemstones – two methods; a pair of wire earrings and a pair of earring jackets – 2 styles.

Sunday: Learn the secrets of setting any stone shape in Ann’s exclusive Border Wrap Pendant featuring her Hidden Bail™ and matching earrings.

Tools you need to bring:

- Flat nose pliers
- Cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Needle nose pliers
- Bent nose pliers
- Tri-step pliers or Wire looping pliers
- Wrap and Tap Pliers – 5, 7, & 10mm
- Pin Vise
- 18” ruler
- Blue painters tape - ¾” wide
- Scissors
- Retractable Sharpie pens – Red, Blue & Black

Workshop Fee:

$300.00 per student, plus $96.00 materials fee.
