| Boost Article Marketing Promotion with Blog CommentingMore and more articles are being submitted daily to article directories and networks on every topic imaginable. In order for articles to stand above the fold, article marketers must include promoting the articles themselves in their strategy.
By: Kristi Hines Gaining visibility for articles is the key to article marketing success, no matter what the purpose of the article marketing is. Link and traffic generation are not the only reasons for article marketing. Other popular reasons for article marketing include becoming an expert in the niche or industry, helping promote a positive reputation management campaign, and increasing opt-ins for a mailing list. But again, no matter what the reason is behind an article marketing strategy, it is essential that articles gain traffic and backlinks to increase their popularity. Obviously, gaining backlinks for the articles will help boost them in search engine results, thus bringing them traffic from search engines as well as direct traffic from the pages that are linked to them. Bloggers already take advantage of blog commenting as a form of building community as well as exposing their website to other bloggers in their niche. Leaving valuable comments encourages blog owners and blog readers to click on the commenter's links to see if their site has more information about a particular topic. One technology that is a particular favorite of bloggers is CommentLuv, a plugin that works for WordPress and Blogger platforms that allow commenters to leave a link to their website as well as a link to their latest post in their comments. This way, they get two links for the price of one. The added benefit of CommentLuv links is that they link to the article using the title of the article itself. This makes it stand out as others browse the comments section of a blog post - if the post left by a commenter fits into the same topic that readers of the post are already interested in, then it is more likely that the post will get clicks from those readers. This same great blogging technology can be used by article marketers as well to help them promote their articles on any article directory or network that provides article authors with a direct feed to their articles. These networks include, but are not limited, to the following: * EzineArticles * ArticleBase * Suite 101 * Article Snatch * Helium * GoArticles * Article Alley * Idea Marketers * Bukisa * HubPages * Squidoo How can article marketers take advantage of this blog commenting strategy to gain more exposure, boost links and get direct traffic to their articles? It is as simple as registering an author's article marketing account with ComLuv, which is free. Registering an author's article marketing account will give them access to their latest 10 articles in the CommentLuv dropdown on CommentLuv enabled blogs. To learn more about the benefits of using CommentLuv enabled blogs for article marketing promotion, read this blog post at http://www.famousbloggers.net/ This blog post also includes stats for five article network favorites (PageRank, Alexa, Dofollow Links Allowed, Social Sharing, etc.) and links to detailed guides for using CommentLuv with EzineArticles, GoArticles, Bukisa, HubPages, and Squidoo, each on their respective networks. The steps in each guide include: * How to register for Comluv. * How to setup an author’s article account site. * How to find the RSS feed for the author (or on particular networks, how to create one). * How to find CommentLuv enabled blogs. * How to use the plugin to leave links to related latest articles. The same steps in these guides can easily be applied to other article directories and networks, like the ones listed above or any that allow an author to have their own dedicated article RSS feed. To find out if a particular network offers an author RSS feed, simply find an author profile and look for an RSS icon, subscribe link, or (in Firefox) look for the RSS icon in the navigation bar while on an author's profile page. Also included in these guides are details of premium features that article marketers can take advantage of to further increase the power of their article’s links in blog comments. These premium features include: * How to add more than one article account to the same account – this allows authors to promote ther articles on multiple networks or directories using CommentLuv. The first account is free, and additional accounts are 6 credits. * How to add default links – this allows authors to link to articles using a specific keyword phrase as opposed to the article title. Default links also stay in the CommentLuv dropdown, even when they are no longer in the latest 10 articles. Default links are 4 credits. Credits are $1 USD each, and can be purchased in groups of 5, 10, 25, 50, 75, and 100 through PayPal. Credits can also be earned through referring others to the Comluv system and writing guides on how to use CommentLuv effectively. Guides can be written on article sites, blogs, etc. Authors must keep in mind credits and premium features access are not required – it is still free to create an account where authors can have access to their latest 10 articles on one network which will be linked using the title of the article itself in blog comments. Additional URLs and Default Links are just additional features available to those who want a little more linking power. Article marketers have nothing to lose. Even if article marketers are blasting out 100s of articles at a time, it would not hurt to promote a few of them on the top article directories so that the ones sitting on high PR domains are gaining authority from the main article site as well as from external links and exposure. Article authors can try out the Comluv system for free with one article account, and should start seeing the benefits shortly thereafter. One additional thing for article marketers using this strategy to keep in mind is that it is essential that the comments attached to the article links are valuable ones – this will ensure that they are approved and that they will attract clicks to the article links! Start using this method of article promotion via blog commenting on CommentLuv enabled blogs to get more visibility, traffic, and links to articles today! # # # Kristi Hines is a freelance writer, blogger, and social media enthusiast.
