A New Yueyang Tower Was Built of 55,000 Zongzi in Yueyang, China

For celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, the locals in Yueyang built a unique model of the Yueyang Tower with 55,000 Zongzi. The model was listed in the official Guinness World Records book on Monday.

June 15, 2010 - PRLog -- For celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, the locals in Yueyang built a unique model of the Yueyang Tower with 55,000 Zongzi (steamed glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves). The model was listed in the official Guinness World Records book on Monday.

Yueyang Tower is located on the top of the west city gate in Yueyang, Hunan Province, on the shore of Lake Dongting. It was originally built in around 220 A.D.. Alongside the Pavilion of Prince Teng and Yellow Crane Tower, it is one of the Three Great Towers of South China.
