Resveratrol & Quercetin with Grape Seed Extract crushes Vitamins C & E

Powerful Antioxidants Resveratrol, Quercetin and Grape Seed Extract make Liberty Health Network's new GSE Plus a natural choice over Vitamins C or E. But this Antioxidant shines by what's not in the Supplement.

June 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Antioxidants  are important in living a longer and healthier life according to researchers. In the old days, that meant taking a few Vitamin C pills along with Vitamin E capsules. What researchers now know is that there are much more powerful choices when it comes to Antioxidants. Grape Seed Extract is shaping up to be a powerful alternative to older traditional supplements. Grape Seed Extract has 20 times the Antioxidant value of Vitamin C, and 50 times the Antioxidant value of Vitamin E. When combined with Resveratrol and Quercetin, this powerful Antioxidant mix is hard to equal.

But before searching the Internet for the cheapest Grape Seed Extract supplement, there is one critical point to consider. Is what's on the shelf designed to help, actually going to cause damage over time? Specifically, what other "inactive" ingredients are in the supplements? Does the product include Titanium Dioxide as a whitener? Is Talc used as a non-caking additive? Is Shellac used to coat the capsule? Is Polyethelyne Glycol used as a surficant or wetting agent?

"Why take a powerful Antioxidant like Grape Seed Extract with Resveratrol and Quercetin, then add Polyethylene Glycol, a chemical that has been investigated as a mutagen. In fact PEG 1000 has been investigated as a tumorigen. What helps you shouldn't hurt you." says Russell Bly, former University of South Florida Engineer and the current Chief Operating Officer with Liberty Health Network.

"When I started to question our vendors why certain chemicals were included in Nutritional Supplements including Resveratrol, I was shocked at the answer. Take the non-caking additive Talc. It sounds harmless enough. Why not add some to make the machines easier to clean? What harm can it do? The answer revealed the dark side of this additive." Bly said.

As it turns out, certain forms of Talc are not so innocent. Using an Internet Search Engine to querry "MSDS Talc", a Material Safety Data Sheet  explains CHRONIC INHALATION MAY CREATE A RESPIRATORY HAZARD. MAY AFFECT EYES, RESPIRATORY SYSTEM AND CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM. MAY AFFECT LUNGS. CANCER HAZARD. CONTAINS CRYSTALLINE SILICA WHICH CAN CAUSE CANCER. Risk of cancer depends upon duration and level of exposure.

While the amount is a vitamin is very small and the Federal Government has determined allowable levels of these chemicals, Mr. Bly asks "Why take the risk? 40 years ago, people thought Asbestos in insulation and Lead in paint were miracle additives. A half century later, we know better. What will we learn about these chemicals in four or five decades? Additionally, many users of Nutritional Supplements take more than one supplement. Think of the compounding effects of taking in these chemicals in multiple doses with multiple products, in some cases three times a day. There are other choices."

Grape Seed Extract

Consider Liberty Health Network's GSE Plus with Resveratorl and Quercetin. A quick glance at the label shows Grape seed Extract, Resveratrol and Quercetin Sources, a Vegitable Capsule and Rice Flour as a filler. No other chemicals are noted on the new product. This makes Liberty's GSE Plus a "clean" winner.
