Merpoint Publishing Signs Author Dan Strawn

June 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Inwood, WV--Merpoint Publishing, LLC, an independent book publisher, announced today that it has signed Dan Strawn, author of the upcoming novel "Isaac's Gun, An American Tale."

Strawn is the author of the 2007 novel, Lame Bird's Legacy, a captivating and thoroughly researched story about the Nez Perce Native American tribe and the historic Nez Perce War of 1877. His stories and essays have been published in a number of editions of Idaho Magazine and Trail Blazer Magazine. His essay, "Everyman's Smalltown" was a finalist in the University of Oregon's 2005, Northwest Perspectives Essay Contest.

Merpoint Publishing will be releasing Strawn's second novel "Isaac's Gun, An American Tale" in eBook and print format in August 2010. "Isaac's Gun" is a nostalgic family saga reaching back multiple generations of an American family.  The characters are real and approachable, and the carefully woven story of their struggles lingers in the mind long after reading.
