Keeping your office looking good between cleans takes practice. The biggest issue is falling into the trap of "leaving everything" to the cleaners. Don't compromise quality over quantity, follow these simple tips and make the most of the clean:

•   Agree on a cleaning schedule. So that your expectations and that of the cleaning company are in sync agree to a schedule of cleaning tasks that are performed daily, weekly, monthly, and on an as-need basis. The checklist should be leaved for the cleaners to fill regularly on site.
•   Avoid sticker shock. It might be tempting to leave a week's worth of coffee mugs in the sink but your cleaners time (and your money) is much better used scrubbing the sink and countertops.
•   Introduce a clean desk policy. Cleaners cant move anything from the desks. If there is a lot of papers they will not touch them at all. Its not because they are lazy but it can cause huge problem for you and your employees if something will be swapped or lost. To make sure that the cleaner can do their job of cleaning the workspace ask employees to put their the papers into filing cabinets if it is possible. If not ask them to take all papers and get organized for example two days per week eg. Monday and Thursday. They should placed papers on trays on the desks and leave clear space on the desk to allow clean it. It will ensure that your office furniture is cleaned and properly maintained.
•   Recyling bins. Place recyclables items in properly marked bins. This can save you money as some companies charge less for recycling.
•   After hours services. Your cleaner will be able to work more effectively with the office free of people. If you are worried about protecting valuable company infomation and property, think about schedule the cleaning service at a time when there are minimal staff on the premises.
•   Read your contract. Review the terms and conditions of your agreement and make sure everything you discussed is in writing.
