Memorial Day Expert To Be Interviewed by Radio Stations Throughout America

May 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Radio stations from throughout the United States are interviewing Memorial Day Expert, Paul Lawrence Vann to discuss the real meaning of Memorial Day. Sadly some of the American people don't even know what Memorial Day is, what it is not is, cooking hotdogs and going to the beach.

Paul Lawrence Vann, lieutenant colonel, USAF, (Ret) served over 20 years in the United States Air Force, 12 consecutive years in the Pentagon and one year as a Capitol Hill Fellow working on the personal staff of a member of Congress assigned to the U.S. House of Representatives as a member of the House Armed Services Committee.

Vann will be discuss the fact, Memorial Day is a day of reconciliation and the coming together to honor those who gave their lives during war so we could live. Memorial Day falls on the last Monday of May, commemorates the men and women who died while serving in the American military.

Vann states, "Now more than ever Americans need to honor and pay homage to the ultimate sacrifices made by our men and women in  the military." To help re-educate and remind Americans of the true meaning of Memorial Day, the National Moment of Rememberance resolution was passed on December 2000 which asks that at 3:00pm Llocal time, all Americans to voluntarily observe in their own way a Moment of rememberance and respect, pausing from whatever they are doing for a moment of silence or listening to taps.
