Part 2 of 4 Open Letter to Mr. David J. Stewart

Setting the Record Straight - In Memory of a Legend - Ronnie Jame Dio

May 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Continue reading. You will see nearly every culture around the word has used it to ward of the evil eye. Christians have used it too. So does that make you a Satanist????
Look for the real story, you will find that Dio was Italian. You said his mother used it. It was his grandmother. In Italian, the word malocchio refers to evil eye. If you have the ability to read, please take a look at a book titled.
“The evil eye in the Bible and in rabbinic literature” By Rivka Ulmer

Sorry about the comment but you seem not to have read anything before you made your slanderous and defaming statements against Ronnie and many others who do not deserve it, especially being that you do understand the real meaning behind the hand gesture that you erroneously have called the El Diablo Satanic hand sign. Not only does this seem to be a problem, but not knowing Ronnie and then passing judgments on him. Like I said before WHO made you God and gave you the right to judge what you have no real knowledge of?

You wait until this man has passed away, instead of saying it to his face, hide behind the internet and without any real research, you slander this human being, and hurt his family, friends and fans. Insulting us with, no real grounds for doing so. You gentlemen will be judged by God for bearing false witness, hurting his family and insulting God by taking it upon yourself to take his place and judge a man without trial. You do not know his heart, only God does. It seems you have malicious hearts.

Psalm 52:1 (New International Version)
1 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man?
Why do you boast all day long,
you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?

Exodus 20:16 (New International Version)
16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
Most of us feel that by not knowing Ronnie, and conducting zero research you have rushed to judgment. Here is a link to why Ronnie used this particular hand gesture.

It is a sign used to ward off the Evil eye, not to bestow it upon you. Unless of course you are the one giving the Evil Eye in the first place. Because it is to basically bounce the Evil eye given you back to the person giving the Evil eye to you, out envy.

Sign of the horns

Ronnie James Dio is known for popularizing the sign of the horns in heavy metal.[4][5] His Italian grandmother used it to ward off the evil eye (which is known as malocchio). Dio began using the sign soon after joining (1979) the metal band Black Sabbath. The previous singer in the band, Ozzy Osbourne, was rather well known at using the "peace" sign at concerts, raising the index and middle finger in the form of a V. Dio, in an attempt to connect with the fans, wanted to similarly use a hand gesture. However, not wanting to copy Osbourne, he chose to use the sign his grandmother always made.[6] The horns became famous in metal concerts very soon after Black Sabbath's first tour with Dio. The sign would later be appropriated by heavy metal fans under the name "maloik", a corruption of the original malocchio.

Anton LaVey, founder and High Priest of the Church of Satan, occasionally made this sign[citation needed]. There's a Wax statue of him making it.

(Note Anton LaVey’s thumb is not in the same position as Ronnies.)

Anton is a Satanist.
