Pluckshot runner-up in Black Web 2.0's thePitch contest

May 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Entrepreneurs from across the country recently participated in thePitch, a contest sponsored by Black Web 2.0.  This 3 week contest asked participants to submit a 60 second pitch of a single idea in execution phase.  Two runner-ups would receive a special prize for their participation.  

On May 2, 2010, Pluckshot, the online tool for discovering and organizing socially relevant photos on Twitter,was awarded runner-up (4th place) for it's entry.  The contest consisted of 12-15 participants.  The top three finalist were selected to pitch their product, in person, to a panel of judges at the NewMEconference in Washington D.C. on May 5th.

"Needless to say I am proud of the accomplishment" said Rodney F. Witcher, II, founder and CEO of Pluckshot.com, "Especially since we’ve only been working on Pluckshot for about a month".    Witcher went on to say, "Pluckshot was just an idea in my head a few months ago and now it is starting to become a reality.  We're definitely encouraged and motivated to help people better manage photos on Twitter".  Pluckshot is showing that there is interest in the arena of organizing photos on Twitter and that there is a market for their idea.  Now that Pluckshot has received validation of it's value to users, it must continue to turn this initial product into a full fledged offering.
