May 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Hoehn Motors, the North County based Auto Group, has joined the San Diego CityFest Season of Service to help feed 3000 San Diego families.  On May 22, approximately 50 employees are volunteering at Bayview Baptist Church along with site volunteers to distribute both a hot meal and enough food to feed a family of four for a week.  The event, called “Not On This Day!” to mean that at least some San Diegans will not go hungry on May 22, is hosted by San Diego CityFest with Luis Palau.

Food distribution will occur at “block parties” in Spring Valley, San Diego, and El Cajon.  The events will feature live music, bounce houses for kids, a hot meal, and a take-home box with enough food for an entire week.  On the CityFest Season of Service Hunger Board are partners San Diego Food Bank, Feeding America, and The Treasure Box, all of which will provide food to distribute on location.  Centered on serving the community, the events will offer a fun atmosphere for the whole family.

Hoehn Motors, the family owned motor company located in Carlsbad, CA has been serving the San Diego community since 1975.  President and Co-Owner Bill Hoehn  sees joining the Season of Service as an extension of that commitment to the county.

Spearheading the Season of Service Hunger Board is CityFest Season of Service Director Sam Williams along with Metro CEO John Hughes.

Food with be distributed at Bayview Baptist Church at 6134 Benson Avenue, San Diego, CA 92114; New Seasons Church at 2300 Bancroft Drive,  Spring Valley, CA 91977; and at East County Transitional Living Center at 1527 E. Main Street, El Cajon, CA 92021.
