"Every day we are thankful for the education and caring attention that our daughter, Amanda receives from St. Thomas.  We didn’t want her to get lost in the numbers of a larger school and she has thrived in the intimate setting of St. Thomas,” Joe and Noelle Molloy said.  “We truly love the family oriented atmosphere and the complete caring that the children, parents and teachers have for each other.  We wouldn’t want our daughter to go to school anywhere else."

Amanda’s Army hosts awareness and fundraising activities throughout the year some organized by Amanda’s schoolmates in support of her fight and others community sponsored with always a awe inspiring turnout from St. Thomas of Canterbury students, faculty and families.

Type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, is a devastating disease that affects millions of people - a large and growing percentage of them children.

There is some good news, though. For the first time, scientists are predicting that we can expect to see a cure well within our lifetime!
