| Tech Collective Tech Laureates Night 2010 – Call for Award NominationsNominations for RI technology awards are open in five categories and will be honored at Tech Collective fundraiser and awards night on June 3rd, 2010.
By: Giselle LaFrance, Tech Collective Tech Laureates Night will honor Rhode Island’s best and brightest technology leaders, mentors and entrepreneurs who are realizing achievements in both industry innovation and community investment. Recognition categories include: Movers and Shakers, Mentor, Workforce Driver, Women in Technology, and Visionary Partner. Previous Tech Laureates Night winners include the University of Rhode Island Providence Biotechnology Center for excellence in workforce development; “Rhode Island’s IT and Bioscience industries are two of our state’s strongest assets,” said Kathie Shields, executive director of the Tech Collective. “They have worked over recent years to grow Rhode Island’s high-tech, high-wage industries, workforce, and economy, and to drive us forward in the Knowledge Economy. Tech Laureates Night is a small token of our appreciation to their contributions. We are proud to recognize the technology industry community as well as the leaders, innovators and mentors within them on June 3rd.” Nominated individuals/ Tech Laureates Night 2010 is sponsored by CVS Caremark, FM Global, Gilbane, and Hasbro.
