Maps.com announces Sarah Sinclair as President and CEO

April 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Her appointment and election to the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara based group was announced today by Chairman Robert Temkin.

Sarah has been working in the role of Client Services Manager since 2007 with the group’s newspaper-focused division, Classified Concepts, following a 20-year career in the newspaper industry.

Sarah is highly regarded in her field.  As the former Advertising Director for the Santa Barbara News-Press she was the recipient of prestigious accolades including the, the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors’ annual Community Service Award and the Santa Barbara Human Resources Association’s Innovative Solutions Award. She is a former President of the Western Classified Advertising Association.

“Maps.com is a diversified, growing company,” revealed Temkin. “We are excited to have someone with Sarah’s vision and management skills, whose leadership can maximize the full potential of our unique company,” he continued.

Sarah will lead a management team covering all of the groups divisions, including the Custom Mapping division, the Maps.com online store and the Maps101 educational division.

Sinclair is a 1985 graduate of UC Santa Barbara, and lives in Santa Barbara with her two sons and her partner, Fred Shriver.
