"Semblances and Me, Eastern Voices World Music", 8 Songs and 5 Mesmerizing Voices

With more than a dozen albums in the market, and genres ranging from Classical, Fusion, and New Age to Rock, Spiritual and Psychedelic, Sandeep describes his latest album as a blend of Eastern Voices and World Music, with shades of Rhythm-n-Blues, Psychedelic, Underground Trance, Club, and Indian Classical music.

The album highlights the different shades of emotions and experiences in a woman’s life, those of longing, love, joy, pain and celebration. Each song in the album portrays a subtle dimension of a woman’s personality.  

The album features eight songs, and five mesmerizing voices.  Among the vocalists, Madhu Mathur Anand is a versatile performer with an extensive repertoire in North Indian traditional, and popular vocal music. She has toured extensively in North America and performed with singers like Anup Jalota and several others.   She hails from the family of legendary poet Girija Kumar Mathur.  Rita Sahai is an acclaimed singer and performer, and tours extensively throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and India. She also lends her voice to diverse musical projects including laying down vocal tracks for Grammy Award winning blue grass artist Bella Fleck and performing on Alonzo Kings Sacred Texts, a CD that won the Isadora Duncan award for music excellence. Renoo Nathan is a California based singer and has several albums to her credit.  Shubhra Prakash and Nikita are upcoming artists with versatile range.  

The first song of the album "I Can, Eternity" sung by Shubhra has a psychedelic feel, with sensuous and mellow vocals set to rhythmic club beat music.  It signifies love, passion and celebration.  "Dreaming Blue" is an Indian-Modern fusion track, with vocals by Madhu Mathur Anand in Indian Classical style, the song set to underground trance music.  The feel is abstract, with flavors of romance and longing.  The song "Devotion, Longing for You" is sung by Rita Sahai, and has Indian classical vocals set to western rhythm and new age sounds.  It portrays love more as surrender and devotion, "Aaja, the You in me lives on" by Madhu Mathur Anand is an Indian Fusion track, has inherent shades of Bollywood melody and rhythm, a blend of romance, with Hindi lyrics set to world music.  "Want Dance, Dance and Dance" is a dance song, sung by Shubhra.  Nikita has lent her voice to a psychedelic metal track, called "Lurkin’ Darkness Me".  "Time Will Bring Us Together" by Shubhra is about romance and faith; and it bears the rhythm-n-blues feel.  "Semblances and Me", the title track of the album, is a psychedelic track beautifully sung by Renoo Nathan, and it is blended with new age sounds to provide the modern feel.

Sandeep Khurana, the composer and producer, is based in California, and has composed for films, documentaries and music albums.  He has released more than a dozen albums worldwide, on New Age, Yoga, Spiritual, Psychedelic, Fusion and World Music.
