HAFAS User Conference sets the course for the future of travel by bus and train

April 15, 2010 - PRLog -- 176 participants, 87 companies, 14 countries – these are the facts and figures of the HAFAS User Conference 2010. All these customers of the Hanover-based software company HaCon followed this year's invitation to the 13th HAFAS User Conference on April 13th and 14th in Hanover. There they have learned about the latest product developments around the leading timetable information HAFAS. The so far unmatched statistics reflect the high status of the annual meeting in Hanover.

For two days the HaCon team has presented a variety of new developments. It was especially about mobile timetable information that informs the users via multiple channels – always and everywhere around the globe – for example on Smartphones like the iPhone or Android ™, push-services, per RSS-feed, TV or – in the future – via the iPad by Apple. The presentations focused also on the enhancements of modern travel information with barrier-free information, indoor navigation or traffic-on-demand. This way HaCon contributes to enabling passengers with reduced mobility to travel via public transport easily and comfortably and also to win new customers as passengers on buses and trains.

HAFAS customers have shown in their presentations how they benefit from timetable information in practice. Lectures were given by representatives of transport companies from Denmark, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. Apart from the official agenda there was also time for personal exchange among customers and the HaCon team of more than 120 employees.
