Charles Martin Soon To Release Mary's Son

April 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Detroit – 2010 – After singing backup for other gospel recording artists like Fred Hammond and Deitrick Haddon, Charles Martin is set to release his solo album entitled “Mary’s Son.”  Martin has teamed up with producer Chardyroc to produce an electrifying collection of songs that will minister to listeners of all ages.  The solo project has universal appeal, reaching the believer as well as the non-believer.  He says the CD is a reflection of his growth and walk in life with the Lord, testifying to his determination to never give up but to stay strong in the midst of adversity.

With a firm grasp of today’s culture, Martin’s innovative sound seeks to reach an audience not currently filling the church pews with songs like “Power” that lyrically speaks to the power of God in our lives.  There’s “I Believe” that features Martin’s vocals accompanied by a choir, proclaiming to the world that God is faithful no matter what. Other songs include “This Joy,” “My Everything,” and the heart moving “Back To You,” where Martin is asking God to take him back. All eleven songs have a unique sound with the purpose of giving glory to God, capturing the hearts and spirits of the non-believer as well as the believer.    

Martin is no stranger to the gospel music industry, planting his roots with some of the greatest gospel music recording artists around.  For over a decade, Martin has been a singer, actor and stage performer, appearing in several stage productions including “Black Nativity,” directed by Tony Award-winning George Faizon, starring recording artist Stephanie Mills.  Martin also appeared in “Something Special is About to Happen” as background singer.  Additionally, Martin has appeared on recording projects for Fred Hammond and Radical for Christ and several recordings with Deitrick Haddon and stellar award winning Voices of Unity (V.O.U.).   Martin has done several commercial jingles including one for the Detroit Pistons.  He also appeared as a solo artist on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show, where he received rave reviews.
