Verizon iPhone release date? No one knows

March 31, 2010 - PRLog -- When the Wall Street Journal dropped a thinly sourced story online Monday night on the apparently imminent Verizon iPhone, the newspaper started a clamor of speculation and online searches for news of a release date.

The report repeated what many had already surmised, that Apple was working to bring its wildly popular smartphone to the Verizon network.

According to the Journal, though, customers may have to wait until the fall as mass production isn't scheduled to begin until September.

Google searches for "verizon iphone release date" was one of the fastest rising queries just past 1 p.m. today.
