Chroma ATE Introduces Solar Cell Inspection and Test Product Line to North America
Chroma ATE announces the globalization of their solar cell inspection and test products.
By: Chroma ATE, Inc.
Chroma has begun rolling out a collection of inspection modules and automated test solutions designed for characterizing, validating and testing mono and multi-crystalline silicon cells. John R. Tessitore, Chroma’s Director of Business Development for North America, said, “These solutions have proven extremely valuable to our solar cell manufacturers in Taiwan. With such an established performance we are excited to add these solutions to our North American portfolio.”
Each of the inspection modules and test solutions may be easily integrated into an existing production line or configured as a turnkey automated production solution with Chroma’s automated handling systems.
The Automated Inspection Modules provide Solar Cell Raw Wafer Dimensional & Defect Inspection, Processed Cell Front / Back Side Printing & Defect Inspection and CIELAB Color Classification. All inspection modules are integrated with a touch screen monitor, computer and multiple interfaces for simple installation and customer configurable operation.
Automated Test solutions are offered as a standalone instrument configurable to a third party solar simulator for solar cell or solar module testing. This instrument can be integrated with a Chroma solar simulator providing a complete solar cell test system. Chroma’s solar cell test system features a class AAA+ simulator and patent pending low shadow probing. All solutions perform full four-quadrant I-V testing for indoor simulated or outdoor natural sunlight.
All Chroma solar cell inspection and test products are immediately available worldwide by contacting Chroma directly at 1-800-478-2026, or visiting their website http://www.chromaus.com.
