March 26, 2010 - PRLog -- Barely a third into the year, UR SuperModels continues to create innovative “firsts” in local model management, ad campaign and fashion show production, and assisting local charities.  The “new kids ” have been receiving multiple corporate and general thumbs- up for their non-stop branding of UR models, local and in-house UR artists, Creative Director/CEO & Founder Asha Spacek, and recent announcement for being the only CURRENT Chicago model management/agency endorsed by, and managing a celebrity spokes model.

2010 is looking like a year of FACE models, COVER models, and taking risks in the fashion, commercial, glamour, and fitness divisions of the UR company. The thought that birthing their presence in 2009 with sending the first American model to walk in DUBAI Fashion Fiesta Week, and being the first local like company to create a “blog” of UP-TO-THE-MINUTE release on its press, events, and sponsor highlights on its website seems like old evident news now. URSM was also first to fully create individual interactive profile pages  (sans a password or thumbnail size images) with videos, images, and stats of their models, making it easier for clients to consider, and allowing the public to follow their career. UR felt it would show the human side of the diverse bunch and everyone could track their development.  

From novice to pro and even celebrity models, UR SuperModels has acquired a slew of local and international support due to their creative campaigns, editorials, and trend setting events.

January, two models were chosen as 2009 Outstanding Up/Coming Female model Alexandra Rubio as well as Up/Coming Male Actor David Andreiw Awards presented by Red Carpet Concierge of Chicago. The same month Fashion Chicago Magazine (the first local online fashion mag; also invited to cover 2009 Valencia Fashion Week & 2010 London Fashion Week) announced its chosen 5 UR editorial models and FACE COVER model Alexandra Rubio to join its other in-house fashion models. UR Celebrity Health/Wellness Spokes Model, Shea Vaughn aired on QVC for her revolutionary DVDs of her created, Sheanetics, a mind/body fitness program.

February brought more excitement in UR’s fitness division when Pro Fitness Model, Nicole Moneer Guerreo, became FACE model for VPX/Redline Nutritional Supplements and was featured in multiple national fitness magazines - topping off her celebrity commentating and commercials filmed frequently in LA. Speaking of Los Angeles, UR lost (not a lose when a model’s career is enhanced) 3 models to the west coast market. One will appear in an HBO pilot, another in films. Chicago based, Jen-Yi wrapped up the month shooting as FACE model for Richard Driehaus Award Winning designer, Hector Javier-Monarrez, for the MonA collection. UR began working with Hector fresh out of school [prior to the award] just like emerging couture designer JSN, to build their look books, and imagery. The saturated artist based city for years has LOST support from agencies and magazines if you were not an already established label or designer. UR has been changing this impression.

Fashion division model Yelena Fedorchenko and Print/Commercial division Simon Bollin made their debut on Sears.com thru SkinStinct, an organic clothing boutique with three locations- one being in the iconic Chicago Water Tower Place on Michigan Avenue.

The famous street, Michigan Avenue, aka "Mag Mile" that attracts all levels of tourism, upscale shopping, and annual parades also houses another FIRST in this model managements’ future with a 12 model video ad campaign at Mali Jewelry & Accessories. Mali sits off major intersections Michigan Ave & Lake Street- perfectly nestled across from Fox News building, next door of Star Bucks, down from Millenium Park, the Art Institute, Grant Park, and Chicago’s business district. UR SuperModels was hired to create the first window sequence using that many local models and artists in a single model management/agency (Chicago). This was an easy decision for the owner Brian Schaps, after the new print window ad created first by creative director Asha- including fashion model Lisa Komolova,- sold Mali nearly every accessory in the fetching ad causing passers by to stop, stare, and come into the store.  Mali was quickly reaching new demographics- just with a new window ad.

This is one of several ways UR reinvented the pros to being a boutique style agency- re-branding the term and concept publicly to work in advertisers favor, when many scrutinized the intimate team in the beginning.  Today, even some of the big boys are downsizing and using this phrase as a new marketing ploy.

UR always has unmentioned features, booked events, and iconic trends that influence the community, despite being an infant company. On a BIGGER flattering note, UR seems to keep the interest of some established like companies offering UR artists exclusive contracts to join them instead, luring UR clients and models at UR hosted events, and coincidentally creating mirrored website concepts that keep this small innovative team inspired.

March opened with Glamour division model Lindsay Gillen being voted, “2009 Sexiest Woman” by Australia based Star Central Magazine- resulting her FIRST COVER.

UR represents men and women 14 years to mature adult in the following divisions: fashion, print/commercial, glamour, fitness, & plus. Clients refer URSM not only for them highlighting models of diverse backgrounds and skill levels, but for also being professional, easy to work with, and extremely personable.
