Unimed-Midwest Introduces PetFlex No Chew! and PetFlex AFD No Chew! Veterinary Cohesive Bandages
PetFlex No Chew! cohesive bandage provides the strength, comfort and flexibility expected of a veterinary cohesive bandage, and a bitter taste to discourage animals from biting wounds. PetFlex AFD No Chew! adds an absorbent foam dressing.
Ideal for wound dressing, stabilizing catheters and compression bandaging after declaw procedure, PetFlex No Chew! cohesive bandage is easy to apply and remove. Simply hand tear to the length desired and wrap with the amount of compression needed – the product will not constrict or come loose. To close, press the bandage gently together. The superior cohesive quality of PetFlex No Chew! allows it to stick easily to itself, but not the animal’s fur. To remove, cut with scissors or unwrap.
PetFlex No Chew! cohesive bandage is sweat and water resistant. It dries quickly and can be worn during baths. PetFlex No Chew! is also extremely strong – with 15 pounds of tensile strength – to resist scratching or snagging. Comfortable and soft, PetFlex No Chew! cohesive bandage does not stick to skin or fur, and stays in place. This bandage is flexible and can easily conform to almost any shaped animal.
PetFlex No Chew!’s bitterants has been tested safe for humans and animals. Wearing gloves while applying the product is recommended, since residue may be left on the hands.
PetFlex AFD No Chew! combines the same cohesive bandage used in PetFlex No Chew! with a patented absorbent foam dressing which absorbs approximately 10 times its weight in fluid. This all-in-one bandage and dressing is ideal for puncture wounds, abrasions and lacerations. The absorbent foam dressing conforms to the wound bed without sticking to it, reducing maceration and promoting wound healing. The dressing also contains a waterproof layer to prevent leakage and contamination.
Both PetFlex AFD No Chew! cohesive bandage and PetFlex AFD No Chew! cohesive bandage with absorbent foam dressing are available in 2” and 4” widths, on rolls in a shrink wrapped package. Both are patented and made in the USA.
