Quackenworth to Participate in 2010 African American Heritage Month Creative Writing Competition

Company promotes creativity, literacy and academic excellence among students within Los Angeles County
 
March 5, 2010 - PRLog -- On Friday, March 5, 2010, Quackenworth CEO, David Hollaway will participate in a panel for the 2010 African American Heritage Month Creative Writing Competition. Other panelists and guests include: Amy Powell - ABC 7 news reporter, Christine Devine - Fox 11 anchor, Common - rapper/ actor/ author, Sheila Starks – founder, Stephanie Starks Hope Foundation and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
The writing competition is designed to expose youth to the importance of literature; and various types of writing styles and how they can be used in everyday life and possibly a career. The event will be attended by an estimated 300 students, educators, and families of the winners. The event will start at 10:00am located at the Los Angeles Times Building, 200 N. Main Street, Los Angeles, 90012.
