IMG Basketball Academy/National Post Graduate Athletic Association Host Open Invitational

Feb. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- About 45 minutes outside of Tampa, FL the IMG Basketball Academy and the National Post Graduate Athletic Association (NPGAA) will host the Open Invitational Basketball Showcase at IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida. Attendees, fans, parents and sponsors will witness 20 of the most competitive teams as they showcase their talent to college coaches from across the U.S. At each event each team will play at least 3 games over the 3 day period and the championship will include a double elimination bracket style to crown the champion.

The NPGAA’s most recent basketball showcase collaboration, “The Great Southern Showcase”, in Jackson, MS received great reviews and was featured in national press posted from sports media giant ESPN.  

In addition to the high energy athletic performance from the 250 players; Bell Curves, a minority-owned socially responsible educational services company based in New York City, partnered with the NPGAA to provide exceptional test preparation advice to student athletes participating in the  IMG - NPGAA Open Invitational Basketball Showcase and ePrep, which was established in the fall of 2005 by fellow Princeton University graduates, Karl Schellscheidt and Eric Barnes will have academic workshops consisting of ACT/SAT pre-testing, multiple choice quizzes and transcript reviews of the athletes to check their eligibility status with the NCAA.
