Princeton Global Network Recognizes Alan J. P. Thompson for Excellence in Art.

In recognition of professional distinction and to further acknowledge personal and academic achievements of note, Alan J.P. Thompson will be included in the 2010/2011 Princeton Global Network Registry.
 
Feb. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Alan J. P. Thompson is an accomplished sculptor and award winning artist. He is a designer and sculptor of original three-dimensional and relief figures in clay, bronze and other materials many of which have been on display at galleries and other major art shows in the NY area. He offers much of his work is for sale in popular magazines throughout the United States. Alan is associated with such prestige art organizations as The Art League of Long Island,  Huntington Art League, Green County Council on the Arts, and PSA-National Arts Club. He has also, been involved in civic community services having received a Congressional Citation in 2005 for his work with minority and small business enterprises. Alan is also a long time musician and enjoys active participation in various local musical groups as a percussionists playing drums, Xylophone and vibraphone and enjoys writing music arrangements for these instruments. He attributes his success as an Artist to the fact that he has always drawn, carved or painted something from childhood and more recently, to having studied under such great art instructors and mentors as Frank Zuccorelli (National Arts Club), Suzanne Young (Art Student League, Academi Paris,  & Cooprer Union), Kiril Tzotchev (Master Romainen Sculptor) and Simone Giacalone (Master Italian Sculptor). "Each of these teachers has made a contribution to my work and thereby, in all of my work" said Alan regarding his education in the art. A graduate of St. John's University, NY, B.A. Degree, he remins an alumni member and fan of their sports teams. He founded Thompson Risk Management Corporation in 1973 (a surety bond and insurance agency) and retired after 33 years as President. This corporation is now owned and operated by his son Christopher A. Thompson, Esq. When not sculpting or playing as a musician, Alan enjoys being with his daughter Cynthia and grand children Brielle, Andrew and Brook Habberstad and his grandson, Lucas Villanti.
