FinderMonkey.co.uk traces Russian war hero’s family for £4.95

Feb. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- The advantages of using FinderMonkey.co.uk, who use staff for all searches as opposed to a computer generated results system, was proved again this week. A member of the FinderMonkey People Finder team located the living relatives of an old war veteran for just £4.95

The team received the order just over two weeks ago and as is usual started work immediately as  Find Someone - Quick searches are usually completed within one hour.

Unfortunately, the customer’s initial search came up with no results.  At this stage a computer generated people finder service would have charged the customer, but would not have been able to provide any results. Luckily for our customer, an experienced tracer who will try to find the best possible result, works on every case.  On this occasion, the member of staff was able to look at a variety of spellings of the surname, as it was Russian in origin and therefore very unusual.

The various matches were reported back to the customer within one hour.  From this information our customer was able to contact the widow of this brave soldier, we will let our customer take tell the rest of the story,

“Since 1994, I have been trying to trace a former Wartime Comrade of my
father's who was Russian by birth but joined the British Army in 1943.
Through receiving a snippet of information that suggested this person may
have married in Scotland, I was able to get his marriage certificate.
Because of the unusual name and the fact that it can be spelt differently
(which had previously impeded searches), I asked FinderMonkey to let me have
any references on the UK Electoral Roll and they supplied me with several
possibilities. Within 24 hours of despatching a letter of enquiry (one of
6), the widow of the Wartime soldier was on the telephone to me in great
delight at being contacted. It was luck - as she had lived aboard with her
husband for many years and only returned to the UK after her husband had
died.  I was then in touch with all the family some of whom live in Eastern
Europe. The results, in particular with the varieties of spelling were of
great help. The results have brought many happy conversations and
information about the person I was tracing who had always been an enigma to
me and since discovery, even more so. It has also brought information to the
family which they were not aware about this brave Russian born soldier who
served in the British Army. I was also able to supply photographs of this
