Reiki for Children with Autism

Feb. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Robin Linke, owner of Balanced Healing Arts, is the mother of a child with Autism, and a Certified Reiki Master.  She has found that Reiki is a great way of reducing violent outbreaks, and producing a feeling overall calm within the autistic or special needs person. Since Reiki can be facilitated remotely, it’s not necessary to actually lay one’s hands on the recipient. A session can easily be performed with the child sitting on his caretaker’s lap, or even if he is mobile.

Reiki works by directing the energy toward the recipient, and the energy will flow as needed. Sometimes the results are immediate, and then there are the times when several sessions are necessary in order to see the overall results.

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful method of breaking through physical, mental, and emotional blocks by using your own personal energy (Chi) and Universal Life Force Energy to help your body heal itself.

It creates a safe space that is relaxing, calming, and peaceful, allowing you to release emotions you'd otherwise be afraid to release, and freeing you to feel self-love, self-compassion, and self-acceptance without guilt. Because of this, it can be highly effective with all people, including special-needs children.

Reiki is accepted in the mainstream community and is being used in hospitals, nursing homes, and corporate America.
