Boxharp on David Bowie’s Ipod

Jan. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Yes it’s true! In an article published a few days ago in The Guardian David Bowie provided a list of his latest favourite tracks. Amongst the eclectic list was our very own Boxharp with a track from their previous album The Tailored Soldier. The list was timed perfectly by Mister B in anticipation of Boxharp’s stunning new EP Loam Arcane which will now see release on the 25th of February.

In a typically alchemical transformation Loam Arcane and the upcoming full length The Green see Boxharp moving away from the americana elements found in The Tailored Soldier whilst carrying over its ambiances, found sounds and Scott Solter’s inimitable production. Boxharp’s new material finds the group rooted in a kind of earth-bound celestialism, dealing in sonic hallucinations and giddying melodic twists and turns.

The first single from Loam Arcane, ‘Rainbirds‘, is available now for free download from the Hidden  Shoal Store.
