Jan. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- The significance of Element.Bonfire can be appreciated when one realises that multi-touch is no longer limited to Win 7 and the pain of coding all the gestures will be a thing of the past.

Element is robust and easy to learn by leveraging the powerful feature of Visual Studio.Net.  With Element, the development of your Multi-touch application can be done in minutes not hours!

Element has been designed from the ground up and provides a unified development experience across the development platform of your choice. Touch points and their information are transmitted in standing XML format via TCP, and it’ll work with any platform that supports TCP which includes but not limited to Adobe Flash, WPF, Silverlight,  WinForm, WebForm, etc…

Element has all the gestures you need including Pinch, Zoom, Rotate, Double Tap, Single Stoke Flick, Tap, Move. This allows programmers to focus on the development of Multi-touch application in minutes without worrying about the nuts and bolts of touch handling.

The architecture of Element is mainly divided into two sets of class, each of them deals with a particular domain.

Element can installs on all versions of Windows, and does not require special installation procedures.  The Installer that ships with Element manages any required configuration changes. Element.Bonfire requires .Net framework 3.5 runtime to be present.

Unlike TUIO*, Bonfire allows multiple clients, which means that one or more applications can listen to Bonfire’s broadcast, and can responds accordingly.  For example, you can develop a mapping application which allows multiple views depending on the users’ selection. User A may want to view the information on his laptop using a satellite view with real satellite pictures, while User B wants to see it from a 3D buildings and roads view.  Using Bonfire, the application that runs on both user A and B’s computer can subscribe to the same source, which may be a 6 x 8 feet Multi-touch conference table, that broadcasts real-time touches to its subscribers.

Kevin Andreassend, iQRite's driving force believes that, "as various application emerge on the market, Element will strike a chord with the market due to its inclusive platform nature and in particular how it takes the pain out of interpreting interactive gestures. Element has undergone over 300 automated test cases for each build cycle to ensure highest backward compatibility and to be bug free.

Element.Bonfire is scheduled to ship in Q1 2010 and co-incides with the launch of the innovative world first kitset 10 point multi-touch iQRite touch frames.
