TE Live Launched in Cooperation with TE Data and Microsoft

Jan. 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Cairo, August 25th, 2009 - TE Data and Microsoft Egypt announced in a press conference the launch of TE Live service, the first of its kind in the Middle East. The conference was attended by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Dr. Hoda Baraka; Telecom Egypt Chair, Eng. Akeel Basheer; Telecom Egypt Managing Director, Eng, Tarek Tantawy; TE Data Chair, Eng. Azza Turkey; TE Data and Microsoft senior management; Industry leaders; and a large number of press and media professionals.
TE Data is the first in Egypt and the Middle East and the sixth worldwide to establish a partnership with Microsoft to provide this service. Current and new TE Data subscribers will benefit from the new service. They are able to access and use many applications and benefits relying on Windows Live technology through Www.Telive.Net.
Through the new service, TE Data subscribers specifically and Internet users in Egypt generally will receive the following advantages:
• Users get an email account with unprecedented storage limit. Inbox capacity expands automatically according to user needs, in addition to antivirus and anti-spam.
• Users can integrate many email addresses, such as Gmail and Yahoo, and access them from one place.
• Skydrive service: 25 GB storage space which enables users to save files, photos, and videos to be accessed from anywhere online. These files could be shared with online friends.
• Each user can create a folder containing photos and data shared with others.
• Skydrive contains a Calendar which enables users to easily organize their time, appointments, and meetings while enabling others to access their schedules.
• It also includes instant chatting service using Live Messenger.
• Special friend groups and communities can be created enabling them to chat, share and exchange information, photos, videos, files, news, calendar, and schedules over one website. The service depends on synchronization over Internet of all instant communication methods.

TE Data customers can now use the new services for free in Arabic or English via TE Data website. TE Data owns 59% of ADSL Internet market share and is seeking to increase this percent through continuous efforts to provide best-quality services with competitive prices.
