2009 2010 Summary And Forecast?

Jan. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Mareeba First National Real Estate was Founded By Guy and Dot Gowan in the early 80s, early in 2008 Peter and Selena Carabot became the new Owners of the Agency.
After a massive renovation program the company has expanded it's operations. The Rental section has grown with the help of 3 property managers and  Administration is now solely "controlled" by a pillar in the Real Estate Industry: Paula.
Sales have suffered a bit because of the "Financial Meltdown" but are now starting to get back on track thanks to the unrelenting efforts of Debbie Sweedman our newest recruit.
Prices last year have suffered a bit of a drop but with a resurgence of interest that segment of the market is showing signs of recovery.
Even in Little Mareeba rental properties are getting scarcer by the day, the forecast is for a mini construction boom next year and most of it, hopefully, in the unit, semi-detached sector. Cheap, reliable and sturdy rental properties it's what is needed, sure there is a market for standard houses with yards and all the bells and whistle, the demand is now and has been for some time, in the lower end of the unit market.
Interest rates will soon plateau, I don’t think that the reserve Bank will in the end kill the economy because house prices are going up, around Australia the shortfall in accommodation is staggering, I don’t think we will ever catch up.
2010 is going to be an interesting year, the property market watchers keep on telling us that the next boom is around the corner ( How far to the corner?) Sure the signs are there, everything seem to indicate that the slow down of last year was only a pause to catch a bit of breath.
Have a good 2010 I’ll re-read and re-write this article in the next couple of months,  we will see what has changed and was has not!!!
