How Can You Find Someone You Met Only Once?

I Met You Once is a new type of social network site designed to provide an environment for people who only met each other once and lack the means of finding each other again.

Dec. 31, 2009 - PRLog -- Most social newtorking sites do one of two things: They unite established friends or they act as a meeting venue for strangers.

I Met You Once (http://www.imetyouonce.com) is a social networking site that mines the middle-ground between these two categories.   Specifically, it unites people who have met but their meeting was so brief that they did not have the opportunity to develop that brief meeting into a friendship.

Its participants, and therefore its market, are those people who could not be united via the aforementioned categories of social networking sites.

I Met You Once operates under the assumption that its market are people who have met once and who are mutually interested in meeting again and developing a friendship, but lacked the opportunity during their original meeting and do not have the information or the means of finding one another again.

For this reason, I Met You Once empowers its users in two ways: Firstly, its members may upload their "profile" (i.e., description of a meeting with a person) to see if that person reciprocates interest in meeting again by searching for their profile.  Conversely, the user may use I Met You Once's search facility to see if the person they are interested in meeting again has already uploaded a profile of their own.

I Met You Once has the tag line: "Giving you a second shot at destiny" in reference to its mission to unite people who, perhaps, destiny thwarted on their first, brief meeting.
