This month Dec.2010, the freight charges from China to Europe have increased about 500$ per 40HQ container . Through the freight charges increased, the shipping spaces are few . A lot of exporters could not book shipping spaces for their shipment. Thus they had to postpone the shipment .

The economic recovery is slow and winter and the beginning of new year are the traditional slack seasons. Shipping companies decided to reduce shipping capacity sharply .

The increase in freight charges this time doesn't mean the economic is turning better . But shipping companies said they probably will increase the freight charges again in Jan.2010.
