Dec. 1, 2009 - PRLog -- Professor Du Qun of Wuhan University’s Law School and Professor Paulo Canelas de Castro of University of Macau’s (“UOM”) Law School spoke on water resources, in a seminar titled ‘Multi-level governance of water resources – Experiences in China and in the EU.’

Lecturing as part of the Jean Monnet Seminars, Professors Du Qun and Paulo Canelas de Castro outlined topics relating to issues both in China and within the EU. The seminars are named after Jean Monnet, who was a strong believer in united and strong Europe.

UOM’s predecessor, the University of East Asia was founded in 1981. To date, UOM is the largest university in Macao, and offers bachelor, masters, and doctoral degree programs in Chinese, English, Law, and many other subject areas. Managing Director of Lehman, Lee & Xu, Edward Lehman was also an associate professor of law at Macau University of Science and Technology for their LL.M. program.
