Technical Communities and CompTIA Team to Expand Government Access to CompTIA Certifications

New agreement makes it easier for GSA buyers to purchase exam vouchers
 
Dec. 1, 2009 - PRLog -- SAN BRUNO, CA and OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL — Technical Communities, Inc., the company technical organizations who sell to the government rely on for proven go-to-market solutions to grow sales, lower costs and reduce risks, today announced a government service partnership agreement with CompTIA, the leading provider of vendor neutral certification for technology workers.

The agreement authorizes Technical Communities to offer CompTIA certification exams including CompTIA A+, the industry standard for computer support technicians; CompTIA Network+, which validates competency in basic network infrastructure skills; and CompTIA Security+, sought by knowledgeable professionals in the field of security. All three certifications are recognized as approved credentials to meet certain requirements of U.S. Department of Defense Directive 8570.1M (http://comptia.org/certifications/publicsector/deptofdefense.aspx), which provides guidance and procedures for the training, certification, and management of military and civilian personnel with responsibilities for information assurance.

Other CompTIA certifications included in the agreement (http://comptia.gsamart.com) are CompTIA CDIA+, Convergence+, CTT+, DHTI+, Linux+, PDI+, Project+, RFID+, and Server+.
