Follow on Google News | Guard Threatened During RobberyA security guard has been robbed of thousands of pounds while refilling a cash point in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex.
By: John Alele Two men dressed in black and wearing balaclavas entered the Nationwide bank in Kings Parade at 1915 GMT on 16 November. One was armed with a gun and threatened the guard before taking a cash box which police say contained £10 notes totalling a five-figure sum. The 42-year-old security guard from Chelmsford was unhurt. Tilbury police believe the robbers were travelling in a dark-coloured car which had blacked out windows. Detectives are trying to trace the car and have appealed for anyone who may have seen it in the days before the incident.
