| Fred Meyer Jewelers Introduces Lifetime Jewelry Care PlanFred Meyer Jewelers, one of the nation’s largest jewelry retailers, today launched a lifetime jewelry care plan that enables consumers to maintain and repair covered fine jewelry at no charge for life.
Fred Meyer understands that fine jewelry requires care and maintenance from time to time, as well as occasional repairs. The Lifetime Jewelry Care Plan is designed to provide for all needs, including polishing, refinishing, pearl restringing and other services to maintain the beauty of each piece. “We understand the value each Fred Meyer Jewelers treasure holds for our Customers” said Peter Engel, President of Fred Meyer Jewelers. “The Lifetime Jewelry Care Plan ensures worry free ownership and a lifetime of lasting enjoyment.” No additional fees are charged beyond the initial cost of the plan. To request service, consumers may return covered items to the store where they were purchased or call a toll-free number to arrange for shipment to a service provider. The cost ranges from $17.99 up to $299.99, depending on the price of the jewelry item. In addition to the Lifetime Jewelry Care Plan, Fred Meyer is also introducing a two-year Watch Protection Plan. This plan provides protection on all watch components, including cases, bands, straps, clasps, hands and dials against defects and normal wear and tear that affect the function of the timepiece.
