UK charity Depression Alliance re-launch their website alongside their new online treatment resource - 'What you should know about depression'.

Nov. 19, 2009 - PRLog -- Depression Alliance the leading UK charity for depression has revealed a new website alongside their latest online resource which officially launched on the 3rd November.

The charity, which has celebrity supporters including Ruby Wax, Stephen Fry and Tricia Goddard offers online information and support through its website www.depressionalliance.org .

Emer O’Neill, Depression Alliance’s CEO said “On the new website we feature our existing services, news articles, research and contact details for support groups all over the country.

We aim to attract many new supporters to join the growing body of people living with depression across England and we aim to help people that face the isolation, loneliness and fear that comes with depression. Recovery happens if you can get the right information and resources at the time you need them most.

People have told us that the information on the website acts as a life line we hope the improvements will allow us to continue in providing that lifeline by finding out more about the illness and joining up as a member.

Our thanks go to Chris Ailey and his team from iThinkMedia (www.i-thinkmedia.co.uk) for their great work on the site!”

The re-branded website also launches alongside a separate project by the charity www.whatyoushouldknowaboutdepression.com, an online resource dedicated to helping sufferers of depression find the right treatment.

About Depression Alliance:

Depression Alliance is the leading UK charity for people with depression. We work to relieve and to prevent this treatable condition by providing information and support services to those who are affected by it via our publications, supporter services and network of self-help groups for people affected by depression.

Depression Alliance believes that the stigma and lack of accurate information surrounding depression continues to prevent people from seeking and finding appropriate and vital help when it is required. Early intervention and information are crucial in enabling those affected by depression to recover quickly and – critically – in preventing further episodes.
