Xinjiang is most rich in mica which occupied 64% of whole country reserves. There has more mica production in Sichuan, Nei Menggu, Qinghai, Xizang, etc. The main mica mineral fields have Xinjiang A Leitai, Sichuan Danba, Nei Menggu Tu Guang Wula mica mine, etc. The main mica deposit types are granite pegmatite, magnesium skarn and contact metasomatism. The granite pegmatite type is of most important and its reserves occupied more than 95% of whole country. The main mica mineragenetic epoch is Archean Era, Proterozoic Eon and Paleozoic Era, few is formed after Mesozoic Era.
