Christmas -- The Season With A Reason

Oct. 24, 2009 - PRLog -- It's mid-October and by now you must be seeing the Christmas buildup in the shops already. Boy they plan ahead! Though, I must admit, seeing the Christmas displays does make me start to think of the gifts I will need for friends and family. The season of giving, for me, has two sides to it. One side has the warm fuzzy feeling I get when the air is nippy and the Christmas lights are glowing. The sense of warmth when I find the perfect gift for someone special to me. The tantalizing smells of good food and homemade biscuits. And the anticipation of shiny gifts under the glowing Christmas tree.

Then there's the other side of my season. Rushing around trying not to forget anyone on my gift list. Driving on icy roads in the dark, shortened evenings of the season. Organizing and planning the holiday feast. Scrubbing and dusting the house only to drag a live pine tree into it. The dizzying spiraling towards Christmas Eve and Christmas Day only to finally experience them in a flash!
